The Shirley Lanham Elementary School Advisory Committee (SAC) is composed of five elected parents, five elected professional staff members, and a military representative from the Atsugi NAF installation. The SAC Committee provides two-way communication between the community and Lanham Elementary by advising the principal on all matters affecting the operation of the school.

SAC concerns include school policy, instructional programs, staffing, budget, facilities, maintenance, administrative procedures, pupil personnel services, educational resources, program evaluation, student standards of conduct, and other educationally related issues.
