Message From the Principal:
We are pleased that you and your child are interested in details about our school - whether the kids are friendly, what our teachers are like here, the quality of the lunches served, and whether Shirley Lanham is easier or harder than their previous school. We like to think that after joining us you will feel as we do, right at home.
We are always pleased to have you as partners in education. We have implemented some outstanding programs, curriculum initiatives, and activities that will meet the needs of all students. As we progress through the year we hope that you become informed and involved in all school programs. We encourage your participation and want you to communicate with us if we can be of assistance. The teachers are always willing and open to provide answers to any in-class event.
One of our goals is to see that all parents feel at home in the Shirley Lanham community school. To accomplish that Parent Newsletters are sent home by the youngest child in the family every Friday throughout the school year. In it you will find an upcoming calendar of events, weekly classroom highlights, and pertinent information about events and activities. A Home-School flyer is frequently attached which provides information just for parents.
We are glad to have you visit our site this year and want to assure you that we always do our very best to help all children experience academic, social and emotional success. With our parents' assistance and cooperation, we experience excellence throughout the school year.
